Dr. Warren Brill, Rosie Pope and the Monster-Free Mouth Movement were the focus of this in-studio interview with NBC 4 out of New York. In addition to being posted to the station’s website, the interview aired live at 7 p.m. ET on January 29. The interview highlighted our key campaign messages, as well as featured our Mouth Monsters: Ginger Bite-Us, Tartar the Terrible and Tooth D.K. During the four and a half minute interview, they also prominently showcased our consumer site: mychildrensteeth.​

AAPD’s first-ever State of Little Teeth Report examines the epidemic of tooth decay among our youngest children. Among the issues it examines are: who is most likely to suffer from tooth decay, what are the immediate and long-term health, social and economic effects, why this epidemic is occurring, and solutions for halting the increase of tooth decay in little teeth. The report also looks at the implications of the federal Affordable Care Act for pediatric oral health.

Mentor Magazine featured AAPD President Warren Brill in their Closing Pitch section about his career path in pediatric dentistry. Brill discovered his passion thanks to clinicians that encouraged him to become a dentist. "I realized that repairing the ravages of time was not nearly as satisfying as being able to help put patients on track to optimum health," Berg recalls, "so pediatrics was the obvious choice.” In fact, Brill was named pediatric dentist of the year by the AAPD in 2009.
